What this site is

BestCalculators provides free online calculators, converters and generators, along with written explanations of the maths behind them. Everything is available without an account and without payment.

Use the results as a starting point, not an authority

The tools are built carefully and the formulas are stated openly on each page so you can check them. Even so, results depend entirely on what you enter and on assumptions that may not fit your situation — tax rules differ by jurisdiction, material densities vary by supplier, and health formulas are population averages rather than individual assessments.

Nothing on this site is professional financial, legal, medical, engineering or tax advice. Before acting on a number that matters, check it with someone qualified. The Disclaimer goes into this in more detail.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. You may not:

• scrape, mirror or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for other people, or ignore the directives in our robots.txt;
• attempt to breach, probe or disrupt the site or its hosting;
• republish our written explanations as your own — the calculators are free to use, the articles are not free to copy;
• use the site to break the law in your country.

Intellectual property

The written content, page design, and the code implementing the tools belong to BestCalculators. The underlying mathematics does not belong to anyone — formulas are facts, and we state them plainly so you can verify and use them freely.

You are welcome to link to any page here. If you want to quote a passage, a short excerpt with a link back is fine.

Advertising

The site is funded by advertising. Ads are supplied by third parties and their presence is not an endorsement. We do not control what appears, and we are not responsible for the products or the sites they lead to.

Availability

We aim to keep the site online and correct, but we do not guarantee either. Pages may be unavailable during maintenance, tools may be changed or removed, and errors may exist. We provide the service "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, BestCalculators is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site — including decisions made on the basis of a result, lost profit, or indirect or consequential damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We link to outside sources where they help. Those sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
