Privacy Policy

The short version

The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to our servers, never stored, and never logged. We do not ask you to create an account and we do not sell data.

What we do use is standard website analytics and third-party advertising, and both of those involve cookies. The rest of this page sets out the detail.

What the calculators do with your input

Every tool on BestCalculators is client-side JavaScript. When you enter a loan amount, a body measurement or a date, that value stays in the page. It is used to compute a result and then discarded when you close the tab. No form submission happens, nothing is written to a database, and no request carrying your figures leaves your device.

This matters for the tools that touch sensitive subjects — health, income, debt, pregnancy. Those numbers are yours and they stay on your machine.

Information we do collect

Analytics

We use analytics to understand which tools people use and where pages are slow or broken. This records things such as the page visited, the approximate region derived from your IP address, the referring page, and general device and browser type. It is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and for diagnosing faults. These are retained for a short period and then deleted.

Contact form

If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you provide. We use them to answer you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Cookies and advertising

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may set cookies to serve ads and measure their performance.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland

We ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, through a consent banner that appears on your first visit. You can accept all, reject all, or choose categories, and you can change that decision later from the Cookie Policy page.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Given how little we hold, most requests amount to the contact-form messages described above. Write to hello@bestcalculators.org and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in California

Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Children

BestCalculators is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Data outside your country

Our hosting and analytics providers operate globally, so the limited data described above may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Some pages link to external references and sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and this policy does not cover them.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will also be surfaced through the consent banner.
