How this is worked out
Counting 12 months back from 11 October 2026 gives Saturday, October 11, 2025. Every day in between is counted, weekends and public holidays included, which is how deadlines, notice periods and delivery windows are normally expressed.
If your count should skip weekends, use the business-day figure instead: 260 working days separate the two dates. Public holidays are not deducted, because they differ by country — check your own calendar if a holiday falls inside the span.
Month counting lands on the same day number in the target month, and clamps to the last day when that month is shorter. One month after 31 January is 28 February, not 3 March — this is how contracts and statutory deadlines read a month.
